The Effect of Problem Based Learning Model by Diferentiation Learning Strategied on the Numeracy Literacy Ability

The low numeracy literacy ability is caused by the learning process still being centered on the teacher which results in students tending to be passive and the learning process has not adapted to students interests and talents. This research aims to analyze the effects of the the Problem Based Learning model by diferentiation learning strategied on the numeracy literacy ability. This research was conducted at SMAN 17 Jakarta in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year which implements the independent curriculum. The research method used in this study was a quasi experimental design with a posttest only group control design. The sample used consisted of 32 students in the experimental class and 32 students in the control class. Data were collected using test instruments in the form of five descriptive question which were analyzed using the Indpendent Sample T-Test.

The results of the research revealed that the numeracy literacy ability of students who taught using the Problem Based Learning model by difrentiation learning strategied is higher than the numeracy literacya ability taugh using conventional learning model. In addition, the results of this research show that the Problem Based Learning model by diferentiation learning strategied can be recommended to facilitate students numeracy literacy abilities. The conclusion of this research is that the Problem Based Learning model by diferentiation learning strategied has an effect on students numeracy literacy abilities, which are in the high category.
